More shots from the South End at sunset. I love the way the light is grazing rooftops and the newly renovated steeple of the South Ward Meetinghouse aka The Children’s Museum. As I’ve mentioned before, the Sheafe Warehouse is one of those really old structures that I’ve always loved, and that I picture located in town a couple hundred years ago when it was still a young structure. Nothing too exciting about these shots, just beautiful old architecture and some nice afternoon light.

A Portsmouth Sunrise | The South End
More shots from my Sunday morning sunrise adventure. The reflections of the South End are seen in the Piscataqua River from Peirce Island Road, and you can see the newly restored clocktower of the South Ward Meetinghouse (former Children’s Museum) hovering over the rooftops.

Clouds & Reflections
Another sunset shot, another one of Portsmouth’s often photographed waterfront vistas. The steeple/clock of the former Children’s Museum of Portsmouth is visible in the cloudy skyline. Shot from the bridge to Peirce Island from Prescott Park. Treat yourself to an evening walk next time you’re in the area.

The (former) Children's Museum of Portsmouth
Yet another of Portsmouth’s gorgeous spires/clocktowers, this one located atop the former location of the Children’s Museum, which has since relocated to Dover, NH. This old building is located along Marcy Street in Portsmouth’s historic South End, just beyond Prescott Park as you head towards New Castle. This spire hasn’t been as fortunate as the North Church, which saw a full restoration in recent years.
