A Night in Market Square

On a foggy evening in Market Square, I decided to take advantage of dry weather and the moody winter landscape.  The lighting allowed for long exposures and the street traffic brought the scene to a whole new level – as the headlights accentuated the curves in the buildings and the streets.

The City has finished dressing up the downtown area with wreaths on street lamps, a tree in Market Square, and I was happy to have my camera in hand when I left work and walked out into this thick and atmospheric fog.

Holiday Time in Portsmouth

The City began the installation of the Christmas tree in the heart of Market Square downtown this past week.  With the arrival and departure of Thanksgiving, it’s full speed ahead towards the holidays in the seacoast.  I hope everyone is surviving their first weekend of eating and shopping of the season!

Evening Sets In at Market Square

One of my favorite times to shoot is during a rain storm…while it can get frustrating cleaning off the lens time and time again – it’s usually rewarding in the lighting and lengthened reflections in the wet asphalt.
