Out for a Sail

There’s nothing like being out on the water at sunset.  I have a newly found appreciation for sailing, after enjoying a gorgeous afternoon out on the water in Saint Lucia.

This shot was actually taken from the land at Great Island Common – as I looked out into the harbor and enjoyed seeing the sailboats cruise around in the late afternoon sunlight.  There’s a nice simplicity in the coastal beauty…and the opportunities to get out and enjoy the ocean/rivers/etc. is the icing on the cake.

Ready to Set Sail

One of the benefits of living near the ocean and on a river is the incredible amount of river traffic we get to enjoy.  This little beauty was docked near the Moran Towing tugboats ready to enjoy the open water.

Schooner Eleanor | Kennebunkport

This beautiful ship sets sail from the Arundel Wharf in downtown Kennebunkport, Maine.  The sun was finally shining as we set out to sail during yesterday afternoon, it was nice to feel the power of the wind and the warmth of the sun for a change.  Happy Friday to all – and a special congratulations to my older brother and sister in-law on their baby girl, Norah!!  Happy Birthday Norah and welcome to the world!
