Gilley’s is one of the true institutions among Portsmouth eateries. It was recently deemed the best place for late night food by The Beer Drinking Report, and was awarded the Phantom Gourmet’s Hidden Jewel. This shot was taken from the top floor of the City’s High/Hanover St. parking garage.

Cool perspective! I remember when Gilley’s used to be a cart on the street in Market Square. And when I used to be part of the late night crowd, it was THE place for late night food.
Good for them for “Hidden Jewel” nod!
When I was a child my dad & I use to go to Gilly’s every Saturday for Lunch or just a soda; I can’t believe it’s still open.
