Police Cruiser | Market Street

Downtown Portsmouth has a few parking spots designated specifically for cabs and police.  This particular evening I decided to snap a few of the Portsmouth Police cruiser parked at the corner of Congress and Market Streets.  You’ll notice a particular feel to the shot, which I attribute to an earlier visit to Joe’s pizza – where some great friends snapped a few shots after a wedding earlier in the evening.  I like to call it the grease feel…But despite the junk on the lens, I loved the colors and the feel of this shot.

  1. Love your pics! But consider using the “Portsmouth NH” tag; “Portsmouth” is full of stuff about Old Blighty as well as our lovely burg.

  2. Your stuff continues to amaze. I’ve had the greasy thumb thing at the hot dog joint across from the Coat of Arms.

Have you ever taken any Photos at the North Cemetery? I’m not sure it fits your style, not a lot of color and light maybe. I only ask because I’ll eventually be adding a Historical Marker that’s there to my blog. I’ve been trekking to them all, and snapping tourist photos. If you have one, I’d love to thumbnail and link to you or your gallery page.

The Cemetery and Marker are here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=North%20Cemetery%2C%20Portsmouth%2C%20NH&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl

It’s marked “Union Cemetery” in the center, right on Maplewood.
