With the arrival of winter and the early sunsets, the winter constellations have made their return to the night sky. Here I was lucky to catch Orion rising over the Martingale Wharf building. You can see the string of 3 stars in a row and another star off to the left above the Memorial Bridge lift tower.
The Martingale Wharf is once again under construction on either side of the historic building, which is one of Portsmouth’s oldest, and which may soon come down due to the safety risk that it poses as the bricks on the exterior of the building continue to sag towards the waterfront.
