For the first time my wife and I have our very own garden that we’ve been tending to this summer. This past week we were greeted with a surprise after returning home from a weekend away – a dahlia fully in bloom. I didn’t used to have much of an appreciation for flowers, but I must say that this landscaping thing is fun.
I’m introducing a new series with today’s posting. Profiles of the people on the industrial boating traffic on the Piscataqua River. In today’s shots, the Asphalt Eagle navigates the Piscataqua River and two crew members enjoy the view from the freighter’s bow.
One of my favorite locations in Portsmouth provides a beautiful sunset as the sun retreats beneath the horizon over the South Mill Pond as seen from Pleasant Street across from Sander’s Fish Market. The seacoast is a beautiful place to spend an evening.
A dynamic sky over Bow Street along Portsmouth’s waterfront. This shot was taken with my iPhone…(clearly, since it doesn’t have the high resolution you’d expect) but without my camera on hand and with such a gorgeous night, this was a good substitute.
The US Coast Guard searches the Piscataqua River. My heart goes out to those affected by the reported suicide.
