The Martingale Wharf Deck
The Martingale Wharf Deck always has a great view of sunset, but it also has a beautiful view towards the Memorial Bridge – seen here around the corner of Bow Street amidst the subtle colors of dusk.
Surf | Bow Street Evening
Surf in the Martingale Wharf is one of the new restaurants located along Bow Street. In this image from winter 2014, a quiet Bow Street rests beneath a cloudless sky – awaiting the warmer weather and the masses of people that will be enjoying the many waterfront destinations.
Freighter in Port
This is one of my absolute favorite views in Portsmouth – looking down Penhallow Street when there is a freighter in port unloading salt at the Granite State Minerals terminal. The Zini from Panama was in port for a long time – replenishing the diminished piles of salt on Market Street.
Along The Rye Coastline
One of my favorite locations in the seacoast, a stop along the Rye coastline with a view of sunset around the corner.
Shadows at The North Church Steeple
The recent swings in temperature and stormy evenings made for good opportunities to catch a lot of moisture in the air. Since the North Church’s Market Street lighting has been down, it has made for an interesting appearance at night, backlit and with two of its sides in shadow. The added fog caught my eye and made for an interesting mood.

Blues after Sunset
A classic sunset from my archives – from a late day walk across the old Memorial Bridge. The sunset is always stunning from this viewpoint! The flow of the Piscataqua River brings an abstract element to this that I love.

The Waterfront After A Storm
The soft sunlight on the waterfront after a storm left the Bow Street buildings glowing. The old Memorial Bridge and a rainbow made this particular evening a memorable one for me – one of those reminders at how amazing it can be to find yourself in the right place at the perfect moment.
