Supermoon over Whaleback Lighthouse

I had a fantastic evening last Friday – my wife and I decided to have a picnic out at Great Island Common in New Castle, NH so we grabbed some food from Napoli Market & Deli in the South End and headed out to find a spot by the sea.  I also secretly hoped that we might get a glimpse of the supermoon over Whaleback Lighthouse – we are so fortunate to live so close to an oceanfront vista that could enjoy the profile of a lighthouse and a natural astronomical phenomenon.  Unfortunately, some clouds on the horizon kept the massive moon hidden for a few extra minutes and it was higher in the sky – but the light at sunset made this a memorable scene.
