A stand up paddle boarder navigates the Piscataqua River amidst the Moran Towing tugboats and a massive freighter known as the Curacao Pearl from Nassau. The riverfront from The Decks in Portsmouth is one of my favorite things to watch in the summer time – and this image captures the essence of summer for me.

Happy Friday! I though I would welcome one of the summer’s last weekends with an inviting image of a tall grass path leading to Cape Cod Bay.

Rainbow Over Great Cove Boat Club
A vibrant double rainbow appeared over the Great Cove Marina in Eliot, Maine after last night’s thunderstorm. Because of my location and equipment on hand, I only captured the single rainbow – but love its vibrancy and how it disappears behind the trees on the horizon.
Cloudscape
This summer’s weather has brought some intense humidity, fog and thunderstorms. One of the gifts that comes from all of this is gorgeous skies – and this cloudscape taken in my backyard is no exception.
The US Coast Guard Eagle Tall Ship
This incredible example of a tall ship was docked in town around this time last year. I thought I’d post this in anticipation of the tall ships that will be spending the weekend here in Portsmouth again this year – docked at the commercial fish pier at Peirce Island.
