Happy Birthday America!  Have a wonderful 4th of July holiday.  Thank you to those who continue to fight for our freedom and for ensuring that all Americans can continue to enjoy life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Happy Independence Day | Portsmouth Fireworks

Thank you to all of the patriots, past and present, who contribute to earning and maintaining our country’s freedom.

Here is a glimpse of the 2012 Portsmouth fireworks as seen from across the river in Kittery.

4th of July Fireworks

Portsmouth’s annual fireworks were delayed by two days due to weather, which was a welcome change – because it meant that I could get out to take some pictures.  I was torn on where I wanted to head, but ultimately decided to go to Kittery for some waterfront shots.  I knew the fireworks would be somewhere near the North Church, but other than that I didn’t quite know what to expect.  Needless to say, I enjoyed the evening!

Fireworks | South Mill Pond

Portsmouth’s 4th of July celebration will be taking place tonight (July 3rd) at 9:15!  The display will be set off over the South Mill Pond by the City – just across from City Hall.  I’ll be out of town, so I want everyone to take photos and post them to The Daily Portsmouth’s Facebook Page so I can enjoy them from out of town!  Happy shooting everyone…enjoy what I’m sure will be a gorgeous display along with the great weather and the celebrations over the long weekend (and be safe).  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Check out the official page at the City’s website HERE.  In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites from last year’s display that I shot just over the South Mill Pond.
