Another image from one of this winter’s barrage of storms. The snow falls steadily on a quiet Market Street.
A scene from Rye featuring the boat ramp at the end of the day. A beautifully peaceful and simple scene with Rye Harbor in the distance.
The new lighting on the Memorial Bridge has settled in to feature a steady blue glow at night. It makes for an otherworldly appearance from all the places that it’s visible around town once the daylight has retreated.
I’m very excited to photograph the ongoing changes to one of downtown’s oldest boutique hotels – The Hotel Portsmouth (formerly the Sise Inn). This historic structure on Court Street is currently undergoing a transformation by the same team that renovated the historic Frank Jones grain storage warehouse into the Ale House Inn. As these early images show, the rooms are full of character and unique layouts.
Thank you to everyone for all of your support and kind words over the years and once again in 2013. As always, I have enjoyed heading out with my camera in pursuit of the character that defines Portsmouth and the seacoast, and managed to see some unbelievable sunrises/sunsets and storms in the process. I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas to you and your families!
Remembering the old lines of the Memorial Bridge.
