South End In The Rain
Piers and floating docks amidst the steady rain of early spring in Portsmouth’s South End neighborhood.
Early Morning Light Over The Marina
The early morning light grazes the undersides of the clouds. The spring sunrises and sunsets have been beautiful – all of the early and late date color helps to forget about the snow.
The silhouettes of the North Church and the Ceres Street waterfront at day’s last light and night’s early glow on one foggy summer evening.
Reflections on The River
The late day light and the calmness of the Piscataqua River drew me immediately to this image – which reminded me of an impressionist painting. While this is very far from my ordinary work, it’s also one of my recent favorites and I hope you enjoy it too.
Colors of The South End
After a stunning sunrise shoot out in Rye Harbor, I took my favorite long-route home through historic downtown New Castle and made a couple key stops along the way to enjoy the morning and other familiar favorite scenes. This shot from the bridge on the way back into Portsmouth features the vibrant colors of the homes along the water in the South End and a lone boat. Simplicity is perfection.

A Beacon In The Fog
Buildings along Portsmouth’s waterfront glow amidst the purple hued fog of an unforgettable sunset with the St. John’s steeple appearing almost as a lighthouse in the distance.
On Pleasant Street
The day winds down as a winter storm gears up. Twilight sets in with grey skies and holiday lighting in downtown Portsmouth.
The Waterfront
Portsmouth’s waterfront and its historic buildings, the decks and the tugboats in the early morning light after a light winter storm last November.
