Sunset in Market Square
It was a beautiful sunset that I was watching from my office window and spontaneously decided to go and see what the horizon looked like from Market Square. In this wide angle shot you can see the Portsmouth Athenaeum, the North Church and its iconic steeple, and the glow of sunset down the corridor of Congress Street in the distance.
At Night in Market Square
In Market Square
This is one of the most recognizable locations in all of Portsmouth, and regardless of how many times I’ve been here, I could sit here for hours on end people watching and enjoying the various scents that waft through the air on a given day from the various restaurants in the area. It is a very very special place – you should come see it sometime!
It’s Christmas in Portsmouth!
The annual tree has been placed and lit for the 2013 Christmas season – with some interesting blueish LED lighting. A combination of the weather, work commitments and lack of camera plate for my tripod have kept me from getting out to do it justice, but I wanted to share this with those who aren’t in Portsmouth and can’t take a drive/stroll through Market Square to enjoy it for themselves.
